So there I was, Chair for Regional Creatives—holding a giant pair of scissors at Robinsons Pagadian. On September 25, we officially launched Handuraw: The ZamboSur Creatives Fair 2025. And yes, I got to do the ceremonial cut. No fingers were lost. Huge win.
After the ribbon fell, I swapped roles and became the resource speaker for the Visual Merchandising Seminar. Because apparently, chairing an event and then teaching one isn't crazy at all.
I looked out at a room full of ZamboSur’s artists, artisans, and MSMEs—people who make incredible things with their hands—and I told them: your product display shouldn't look like a yard sale.
Let's fix that. We talked color, lighting, storytelling, and why hiding your best item on the bottom shelf is a crime. Three days of creativity, chaos, and community. And honestly? Being both the one who opened the fair and the one who yapped about visual tricks felt like a full-circle moment.
Handuraw proved ZamboSur's creative scene isn't just surviving. It's showing off. And I just happened to be holding the scissors.
