Sharing What I Learned: A Re-Echo Session for Zamboanga del Sur's Creative Stakeholders

Fresh from my scholarship with the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) on Creative Industry Development, I knew I couldn't keep all those insights to myself.

So I gathered our province's creative stakeholders—artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and advocates—for a re-echo session right here in Zamboanga del Sur.

The room was filled with familiar faces and new ones, all eager to learn how we can apply international best practices to our local context. I walked everyone through what APO taught us: from measuring creative productivity to building sustainable creative ecosystems, from policy frameworks to cross-sector collaboration.

But the best part wasn't the slides or the theories. It was the conversation that followed.

Our stakeholders asked sharp questions, shared on-the-ground realities, and left with actionable ideas. That exchange reminded me that knowledge only becomes powerful when it's passed on.

I'm grateful to the APO for the scholarship, and even more grateful to our Zamboanga del Sur creative community for showing up, listening, and committing to grow together.

This re-echo session wasn't an end. It was a beginning—of applying global learning to local action.

Daghang salamat, and let's keep building.
